Beth N. Lowson received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1993), where she served as the Associate Editor of the Journal of International Business Law, and a B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Brandeis University (1990). She has been admitted to the New York State Bar and the Southern District of New York Federal Court, and is a member of the American Bar Association. Ms. Lowson co-authored an article on the proposed Form S-6, which was presented at an ALI-ABA seminar on insurance company products.
Ms. Lowson is a senior securities and corporate attorney with experience in a wide variety of domestic and international securities transactions, including private placements and initial and secondary public offerings of debt and equity, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings. Ms. Lowson has also served as regulatory counsel for an international insurance company and has extensive investment company experience, including significant knowledge of insurance company variable life and annuity products.
